How to Let Clients Book Multiple Appointments at Once (2026 Guide)

A coaching package, a course of therapy, three lessons before an exam: plenty of clients need more than one session. Most booking pages still take one appointment per visit, so those clients choose a time, fill in the form, pay, and then do it all again.

This guide covers why that costs you bookings, how the popular scheduling tools handle multiple appointments today, and how to let clients book several times in one go.

Why one appointment per visit costs you clients

When a client needs three sessions, a one-booking-per-visit page creates problems for both of you:

• Drop-off: every repeat trip through the booking page is another chance to give up.
• Lost times: while a client books session one, someone else takes the time they wanted for session two.
• Messy follow-up: three confirmations, three payments and three email threads, with nothing to show they belong together.
• Packages that don't fit: "book 4 coaching sessions" is hard to sell on a page that takes one booking at a time.

Recurring appointments help when every session is at the same time each week. Real schedules are rarely that tidy: Tuesday morning, Thursday afternoon, then the following Monday. That is what booking multiple appointments at once solves.

How popular scheduling tools handle multiple appointments

Here is where each tool stands as of September 2026, based on each vendor's own help center and community answers.

Calendly

Calendly books one time slot per booking. In February 2024 a Calendly community moderator confirmed that there is no way to allow an invitee to book multiple appointments at a time, and we found no later announcement that changes this. The common workaround is Calendly's invitee redirect: after booking, the invitee is sent back to the booking page to book the next slot, filling in the form again each time.

Acuity Scheduling

Acuity lets clients book more than one time in a single transaction. After picking a time, clients can choose an additional time or make the appointment recurring, and you can add a quantity field so they book multiple spots for appointments and classes. Recurring booking works within one appointment type and is capped at 52 appointments.

Square Appointments

Square Appointments can book several services back to back on one date, but booking different dates and times in one checkout is still listed as a feature request in the Square Community. Square's community team points sellers on Appointments Plus in the US to prepaid Packages instead.

Cal ID

Cal ID's multi-slot booking is built for exactly this. Clients pick several times across days, weeks or months, fill in the form once and, on paid events, pay once. Every time becomes its own booking with its own calendar invite, meeting link and reschedule link.

How to let clients book multiple appointments in Cal ID

Multi-slot booking is a setting on each event type, so you can turn it on only where packages make sense.

1. Open the event type and go to the Multi Slots tab.
2. Turn on multi-slot booking.
3. Choose how many slots a booking can hold: leave it open, let the booker choose between a minimum and a maximum you set, or require a fixed number for packages.
4. Decide whether several slots can fall on the same day. It is off by default, so sessions spread across days.
5. For round-robin team events, choose one host for the whole booking or rotate through the team.
6. Save. Your booking page switches to multi-slot mode, and your availability, limits, location, workflows and payments keep working as before.

What your clients see

• Clicking a time adds it to a tray instead of opening the form, and they can keep moving between days and weeks.
• The Continue button shows what they are committing to, for example "Continue with 3 slots" and, on paid events, the total.
• They fill in their name, email and notes once. While they type, every picked time is held so nobody else can take it.
• On paid events there is one checkout for the whole selection.
• The confirmation page lists every time with its own join, reschedule and cancel options, and one email arrives with a calendar invitation for each time.

Rules that keep your calendar safe

Booking several times at once should never mean losing control of your calendar. Every rule on the event applies to the whole selection:

• Your availability, buffers and booking limits per day, week, month or year, plus total duration limits and the per-booker cap.
• Picks that overlap each other or your existing bookings are refused, so you are never double booked.
• The selection is booked as a unit: if any time cannot be booked, none of them are, so nobody ends up with half a package.
• If someone takes one of the times at the last second, only that time is dropped and the rest stay held while the client picks a replacement.

Multiple appointments, recurring appointments and double booking

• Booking multiple appointments at once means one client picks several different times in one visit, each chosen by hand.
• Recurring appointments repeat on a fixed pattern, such as every Tuesday at 10:00.
• Double booking means two appointments at the same time, which multi-slot booking prevents.

• A booking holds as many slots as the client picks, with an optional minimum, maximum or fixed number.
• Multi-slot booking is on the Business and Enterprise plans.
• It cannot be combined with recurring events, seated events, instant meetings or no-show fees held on the booker's card, and private links book one slot at a time.
• Refunds for multi-slot bookings are handled in your payment app's dashboard, not through Cal ID.
